THIS SIDE

They say the grass is greener, on the other side of fence;
They say the life is better, on the other side of the tracks,

They say the homes are nicer, on the other side of town;
They say the people are kinder, on the other side of the world...

But I don't care what they say...Because I live on THIS SIDE,

On this side of the bed I wake up each morning,
On this side of the street I cut my lawn and empty my trash,
On this side of the field I huddle with my team,in an effort to develop the best possible play
that will enable us to WIN.

On this side,  and from this side, I get to view the Rainbow.

And it seems that from this side too...

There are seven colors, There is a beautiful Arch,

There is a bright shining sun,and a nice cool breeze.

And from this side, I see through the rainbow to the other side.

I see the crab grass, the broken lives, the shabby homes, and the unkind people.

And it seems that THAT SIDE is much like THIS SIDE.

So I fall to my knees once again to Thank God...

For my family, my friends,
His love, His grace,
my home, my job, my life, and my view
from THIS SIDE OF THE RAINBOW.
